Other items you can make at home, instead of buying pre-made
Yesterday, I posted something (here) about using natural materials — various fruits and vegetables, coffee, spices (many of which you probably already have in your kitchen) — to dye eggs.
Today, I continue the idea with this roundup of homemade items — to make for kids or for yourself!
To make finger paint, use the “recipe” above, thanks to Easie Peasie.
To make bathtub “paint,” simply add food coloring to shaving cream. (Photo spotted on Pinterest, with no attribution.)
To make playdough, combine flour, warm water, cream of tartar, olive oil, salt, and food coloring. For details, see Homemade Playdough Recipe | Skip To My Lou.
Note about food coloring: You could make your own plant-based coloring using tips from yesterday’s post, which I refer to above!
